  1. I love that meme, but as an atheist, I can’t tweet that out with the word “God” in it. You’ve got such great posts, but I can’t share some of them when a fictional character is quoted or referred to. My problem, I know!

    • Which fictional character are you referring to, Cornelius or God?
Never mind, I know the answer. Hat’s off to devout atheists who are not afraid to admit it. It seems to me that the fact that Cornelius, an orangutan, the spiritual leader in of the apes in the story, quotes from an ape bible (ape being the center of the universe in this case, of course) is a bit of a tongue in cheek comment on the whole god myth.

  2. A predator will not turn its nose up at food and he/she will not kill recklessly. To kill recklessly invites the unwanted risk of injury or death. He/she will not kill simply because they can and will often choose to eat what is easiest and safest to obtain, even rotting carcasses. Now humans, humans are a strange bunch that turns their noses up at food readily before them in the desire for something that is harder to obtain and just because they can. Humans are lateral thinkers to be sure, but utterly stupid when it comes to common sense suvival.
