  1. I don’t know what you can do with people who will not follow the rules. We should assume the risks of going into the territory of wild animals and not leave our fate to their discretion. But do to so with open vehicle windows against all warnings is obvious foolhardy.

    • That is what I was thinking too. Apparently this place also uses baby lions as a kind of petting zoo. Unfortunately, that allows them to become more familiar with and less fearful of people or human contact (like maybe reaching in cars?). Dumb and dumber.

  2. Here the lion would have been destroyed because people can do no wrong. News reports have been remarking on the frequency of bison encounters by tourists in Yellowstone also, but fail to make the connection that the people ought not to crowd the wildlife. This reminds me of a favorite line from a favorite story “got their oil check with a horn dipstick” if they fail to heed warnings. This was a tragic accident, and the woman should have known better, her tour guide should certainly have known better.
