We’re obsessed with growth. More people lead to more kids, more car seats, more toys, more schools, more houses, more cars, more development, more highways, etc., etc. Of course that means less land and habitat for animals, fewer resources left, fewer species and other life forms on this planet. Doubt if we can stop it. We focus a lot on the evils of Wall Street without paying enough attention to the evils of Madison Avenue and all the advertising that promotes the above. The day of reckoning will come, the more growth the faster.
