WENATCHEE — A puppy died earlier this month after it was left tied up outside in 100-degree-plus temperatures, authorities say.

“This poor pup. There was no shade, no water. It was just awful,” said Sgt. Jody White with Wenatchee Valley Animal Control.

  1. Another substandard pet “owner,” the kind who leave animals chained out in the heat and in the cold, while their so-called guardians recline in air-conditioned and heated houses. Poor little one doesn’t sound like he/she was destined for a good life in any event.

  2. I wanted to read more on this story, and there are several reports of owners leaving their dogs chained in the heat with now water. How stupid can these people be? Many of them are being charged for animal cruelty, thankfully. Just goes to show that any idiot can have a pet, regardless of whether or not they have the wits about them to care for them properly. Their children probably are not treated much better.
