    • Who hunts in July/August? The lust for killing must be very strong, in WI they are training poor dogs in heat, humidity and mosquitoes, and exposing them to the dangers.

      • Yes, and how about this–Wisconsin pays the *$%^$& when their dogs are killed by wolves or other animals that they put in danger by sending them out in pursuit of wildlife! Yes, sir, take the old dog out to chase down a wolf or a bear for you and get the big bucks when the dog gets torn apart. What a deal! How the hell low can you get–destroying the lives of both pets and wildlife.

The quote below is part of an article: http://wisconsinwatch.org/2014/01/state-pays-scofflaws-over-hound-deaths/

“The DNR program also has approved more than $80,000 in payments to repeat claimants — those who put dogs in successive situations where they were killed by wolves. And money has gone to people from other states who brought their dogs here to hunt.”

Wonder if guys are going to shelters and getting dogs they hope will get killed so they can make some money. Same worry here when people wanted to use live bait for wolves–would the demand go up for “adoptions” during hunting season?
