White House spokesman Josh Earnest said it is up to the Justice Department to respond to an extradition order.
© Paula French via AP In this frame grab taken from a November 2012 video made available by Paula French, a well-known, protected lion known as Cecil strolls around in Hwange National Park, in Hwange…The incident is currently being investigated by Zimbabwean authorities and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Anything US Fish and Wildlife is involved in , is highly suspect, corrupt, morally bankrupt. I am not encouraged in any way, form, shape, or color.
I agree. I was so surprised when I heard Fish and Wildlife offered to help, and then I remembered who we’re dealing with. They’ll probably end up making excuses for the killer driller.
I’m delighted, though, that this many people joined for an animal and is reaching the media of both sides and the White House. Maybe that will send a hint that there are people who are serious about animal abuse.
I’m going to remain hopeful. I was reading that the hunting guide, Mr. Bronkhorst, is now saying that Palmer ‘wanted an elephant’. Does not seem to care about endangered status or legalities of ivory. I’m telling you – laws are no impediment at all to this man:

I actually have more confidence in the British government getting this guy, but I hope the US gov’t won’t get all soft and fuzzy about it. We’ll see! You can already see in the media looking for sympathy. 0.00.
Had to share this sweet photo – this is how used to people Cecil was. This is a photo of him as a cub with Geri Halliwell of the Spice Girls. And this guy had to shoot a zoo animal, basically.

He’s thought to have hunted mule deer in Canada:

I’d not be surprised if he killed collared wolves outside of Yellowstone.
Here is another surprise from http://www.onislam.net/english/news/global/490859-muslims-condemn-lion-cecil-hunting.html
CAIRO – Joining worldwide condemnations of the killing of a prized African lion Cecil, the Egyptian Fatwa House [Dar al-Iftaa al-Masriyyah], a renowned center for Islamic scholarship, has issued a fatwa denouncing hunting the lion as against teachings of Islam.
Hope that gets around the Internet too.
