- Kendall Jones, 19, has drawn the ire of thousands with her Facebook photos showing her smiling alongside rare African beasts
- But Facebook has now removed her images of dead elephants, hippos and lions, among others, because they violate their standards
- The website removes ‘reported content that promotes poaching of endangered species’, Facebook said in a statement
- Jones, a cheerleader at Texas Tech who is gunning for a reality show, claims her hunting is actually a conservation effort
Facebook has deleted trophy photos showing rhinos, elephants, lions and leopards killed or tranquilized by a Texas Tech cheerleader.
Kendall Jones, 19, has sparked outrage across the social media site for sharing images of herself with the big game she has hunted through Africa.
On Thursday, Facebook removed some of the images that violated their standards.
In a statement, it said it removes ‘reported content that promotes poaching of endangered species, the sale of animals for organized fight or content that includes extreme acts of animal abuse’.
Following the removal of the images, she shared a Fox News Channel montage of the deleted photos but by Friday, there was no sign of the montage.
It came after more than a quarter of a million animal lovers signed a petition urging Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to take down the photos in which Jones smiles proudly over the corpses of her prey she claims to be saving from extinction.
‘For the sake of all animals,’ the petition against Jones reads as it implores animal lovers to sign, ‘especially the animals in the African region… where hunters are going for fun just to kill an animal!’

I wish we could delete poachers and hunters, one click and they are gone 😦
Yes, sadly it’s too much nice to be real.
There is indeed a one click method. A trigger.
Well even if we can’t delete the hunters/poachers (dang!), this will cut down on some of their quest for fame and attention. I’m hoping Facebook will follow through and stop some of the other animal-related abuse, such as stupid people torturing their pets for attention.
I agree, I have complained about some animal cruelty on Facebook but they don’t want to take it down, it is a shame for humanity.

Well, that’s good news. These people will have to accept the message that their activities are distasteful and highly disapproved of in the modern age, and that it is only a matter of time before it becomes a thing of the past. Yay!
This girl has one of the most vacant expressions I have ever seen. Hellllloooooo! Is there anybody in there?

This is an amazing move in the right direction, recognizing the that the animal rights social movement is becoming even more solid, strong and dedicated to the moral changes needed in society.
The next step is to ask Texas Tech to stop using her as a cheer leader with impressionable girls who may be influenced by her bragging.
Facebook FINALLY did something right & positive for animals!
Have written many times to them regarding taking down certain pages that are simply vile re: animals.
But always the response is that the page doesn’t violate their (so-called) “standards.”
This is a start.
Would like to post this news to my FB page, but the repost includes a photo of the evil serial killer and one of her precious victims.
So I’ll pass. *sigh*

I don’t visit Kendall Jones’s site, but I’m hearing from people that she’s put the photos back up on Facebook. Sorry for the old news; maybe it’s time to petition FB again?
Now I’m told: “FB did delete her pics last year, but they came right back up again.”
…knew she would..serial killers are violent sociopaths..the narcissism is deep & strong aka: attention whores..it is ALWAYS about them…sick/twisted/vile/useless pieces of human excrement☻
Well put.
I wish I could remove the smile from her face
This is NOT true. She has 2 pages and dead animals are on both pages!!
They were removed, but she’s put them up again…
That specific photo of that skank with that beautiful lion that she destroyed makes me physically ill and want to vomit. God help her if I was ever in any close proximity to her
Sick teen bitch, you’re just starting a long way down! I hope you ger seriously hurt when you hit the bottom!!!
