Vermont’s Next Generation of Hunters

Every time I consider getting behind a politican, they end up exposing their true selves and end up pissing me off…

  1. The hunters are really working on getting the kiddies (and women) started shooting. Would be nice if that beautiful country were just be left to the animals and barring that at least given to just hiking and looking at whatever wildlife showed up. But, no, turn it into a killing field.

I’ve been voting mostly for griping rights, You know the old cliche–if you didn’t vote you don’t have the right to complain. Well, I’m so sick of the political system and the candidates that I think not voting would be the moral choice. Why go year after year trying to choose the best of the worst that are running? I don’t plan to stop complaining.

      • Unfortunately, the lesser of two evils–is still evil. No, we should all stay home, have a good General Strike (other countries have done it), and Not Vote. None of them are worth anything, and it would certainly send a powerful message to them all. My Swiss parents were naturalized citizens here, and my father always voted, because it was something to be proud of where they were born. Here, it is a media circus, with nothing but trivial junk–the word “debate” is a cruel joke. I plan Not to Vote. This is not a Democracy anyway. It is, & always has been, a Republic, copied after The Roman Empire–and we know from history how evil & destructive that one was!

    • “The hunters are really working on getting the kiddies (and women) started shooting.”

There’s a real push to get kids to start fishing, too (which is a form of hunting, by fishing enthusiasts, including the government.

  2. Bernie Sanders is pandering to hunters. That he put this video on his website to, in essence, promote hunting is disturbing. Pretending to be a turkey (using bird calls) so the turkey will come close, so you can kill the turkey is predator, offender, serial killer behavior. Governments think that as long as these serial killers prey on the defenseless who don’t have a voice that anybody hears, they’re not out there in society preying on humans. Note that many in government are also hunters.

    • I suspect that even the ones that aren’t hunters need to show up with their guns to appease the NRA and other hunting groups and who their allegiance to the 2nd amendment. I remember one time when Bill Clinton went out with the good old boys and their shotguns, and the result of that outing was one unfortunate little dead duck. I suspect there were other hunts.

Me too! Whatever hunting stood for in decades long past, survival – does not exist today.

I wish you guys could see that awful video of two assholes taking potshots at a grizzly bear sniper fashion. You’d see what hunting is today. I was horrified to see psychopathy in action, but then again, glad to see it exposed in all its ugliness. These people really can’t help themselves, and it is shameful for anyone anywhere to support and promote this terrible behavior in today’s world – except to bring more human violence and misery into an already violent and miserable world we’ve ruined.

There’s a show on PBS coming up called the Dawn of Humanity – and I wonder if it should have a subtitle in parenthesis as “The Beginnning of the End of the Earth and all the Rest of her Inhabitants”..

    • No, Bernie Sanders hasn’t wowed me the way he seems to have wowed everyone else – I knew he had to be too good to be true, and now there you have it.

Why are we so fkn naïve?

    • I’ve seen the video. It is absolutely sickening. Watching that poor bear go to his death in such a horrific way while the hunters cackled with glee made me go into a blinding rage. I’m still upset about it.

      • Me too. It’s too bad one of the ricocheting bullets off the side of the mountain didn’t come back to them, and knock them off a cliff. Nobody would miss them, in fact the world would be a better place without them. I know cheers would go up all over the interwebs. That poor bear looked so confused and helpless. Let’s hope karma has something good in store for these two, she usually does.

      • I only hope that poor bear was finally dead by the time he got to the bottom of the hill. May those hunters some day get what they deserve. On top of being bloodthirsty nimrods, they are incompetent. With all their presumably sophisticated weapons they couldn’t hit an animal the size of a grizzly bear without shooting how many times and prolonging his agony.

  4. The tragedy of today’s politics is that if you vote democrat you vote giving half your paycheck to support the welfare dynasties. If you vote republican you vote for those who want to blow up animals the woods the hills and every last remaining piece of wilderness. It is really sad!

  5. I am also contacting the liberal groups who are pushing for Bernie–they need to know he is supporting hunting. However, since these groups are ultimately Humanist oriented, they may not see hunting as a problem….But, they need to hear from us anyway. Also, Bernie has a facebook page which I also commented on. Someone just mentioned to me that Sanders is also speaking today at Jerry Falwell’s Liberty University! Guess he is trying to be everything to everybody–very sad, & it never ends well to do this.
