Don’t forget lost their intelligence too. Shame and remorse, and self-restraint went out sometime in the 1960s with the coming of overly-permissive parenting. Then came the ‘Greed is Good’ era in the 1980s (and I don’t think its ever left). Now we’ve got several generations of people who never have know anything but what we’ll diplomatically call ‘self-actualization’. Example: the woman spraypainting tags in the National Parks because she was told she had talent as a child (guess what? she doesn’t). 🙂
Nature will prevail. When she is tired of us, she will brush us away like dandruff. Just hate to see her encouraged to do so. I would rather live with animals than most people.
