
Japan has passed a controversial law targeting conspiracies to commit terrorism and other serious crimes, despite a warning by the UN that it could be used to crack down on civil liberties.

They can use such a law to shut down any opposition to environmental issues and the infamous killings of dolphins and whales. Not that there is much of an opposition as it is, but with such laws passing all hopes of that ever happening is now zero.
