Geez Louise! I just went back through my records and found my first letter of complaint about these bears to Chief Michael Hicks of the Eastern Band of Cherokees. The date of the letter: August 30, 2009. Did multiple followups. Now 8 years later the bears are “one step closer” to being removed.
How long are those poor bears going to live? Most of their life may already be gone. What more can be done, how many petitions and letters will it take, how many more complaints and court decisions will it need?
