I guess exploring how intelligent other animals are can be a good thing. But in the end, they are not exactly like us and are often compared to us after the studies and found wanting. They don’t need to be just like us to have value.
Not mentioned is that bonobo society is more female-centered than chimpanzee society and less violent.
