It’s a horrifying act by any standards — and it was all caught on video. An agriculture teacher at a Florida high school took students out of class and showed them how to forcibly drown two helpless raccoons.
The teacher, Dewie Brenton, was reportedly upset that raccoons had been harming chickens the class had been raising. The shocking video shows Brenton dunking a scared raccoon trapped inside a metal cage in a garbage bin filled with water.
This was an exercise in cruelty — plain and simple. Please sign the petition to hold this teacher accountable and have him investigated for his horrific actions.
The video was released to the media after one student showed his mother the upsetting video — saying…

Waterboarding animals, and in a classroom situation, with impressionable children present. Just lovely. I hope this poor excuse for an educator is made to take anger management classes, fired and loses his teaching license. Torturing an animal in angry retaliation and punishment for having the ‘boldness’ to interfere with the almighty human’s activity is not a good lesson to be teaching children. All of this takes time and was most likely traumatic for the animal and the children. I hope the parents complain loudly.
There are more humane ways to treat animals, like relocating them, or placing (non-lethal) deterrents. What a heretical lesson that would be, I guess! Violence is considered normal and acceptable towards animals, compassion and humane treatment is not.
I called the school about that and was told that the teacher, Dewie Brewton, was no longer employed. Some people were horrified at what this throwback did. But others are taking his side. But we can assume that Ocama, Florida, probably shares a lot of deep South culture about animals are religion. There is a dog, a beautiful animal, really, that resembles a smaller bloodhound. He is called a black and tan coon hound. So raccoons have been fair game.
These particular animals that received Brewton’s death sentence killed some chickens. It would have made more sense to make the chicken coop more secure, but I guess that’s asking too much.
Makes you wish for a couple vigilantes who know how to waterboard. The teacher should stick his own malfunctioning head under water and see how it likes it.
LOL. It does. And a good ass-kicking too.
Just think of how vile this person is to torture an animal in front of children.
Heh. I have some old towels that I use to line my pet’s carrier if anyone is interested. 😉
What he need is a good old-fashioned swirly and I’d gladly shove his head in a public toilet and flush it 100 times!!!
