Committee to Abolish Sport Hunting Blog
From Captain Paul Watson [Mirrors my sentiments on this]:
A Polar Bear died for eco-tourism. People need to stay away from these places and leave the wildlife alone. The company claims it is self defense but there would have been no need to kill the bear if people did not land on the island like they were going to some Sunday picnic.
I’m not a big fan of eco-tourism. I’ve seen the damage it has caused to the Galapagos and other places. Some 30,000 whale steak dinners are served every year in Icealnd to eco-tourists. They go whale watching and have a whale meat meal the same day.
I woul dnot be surprised if they were posing next to the dead bear with smiles and peace signs.
Great jobs Camille.

I love this man’s essays. 30,000 whale steak dinners?????? And wait until the 18 cruise ship invasion for this island next week. The poor animals!
I do believe it was a case of self-defense – for the poor polar bear! The number of people sounds outrageous. The end result would have been no different if the poor bear had been hunted!
