Excellent short piece, but with humans off the planet, shouldn’t the earth recover eventually, as in thousands and thousands, OK, millions of years?? Still, a horrific end to our magnificent home and the irreplaceable flora and fauna on it. If only humans would disappear without the attendant loss of everything else.
Perhaps without the nuclear plants melting down … Evolution has gone on for millions of years and there’s no reason to think that when humans (a dead-end species anyway) are gone, that other amazing life will evolve…
