SOMERSET, Ky. (WKYT) – A 7-year-old is in the hospital after a hunting gun he was carrying accidentally discharged, striking the child in the back.
According to Kentucky State Police, the child and his grandfather were deer hunting in McCreary County off of Day Ridge Road. Troopers say as the two were leaving the hunting area, the child’s gun was slung over his shoulder. When he went to remove it, the gun fired.
The 7-year-old’s grandfather drove him to the hospital in Somerset, where staff called 911. The child was then flown to UK Hospital.
Troopers are investigating the shooting, but say they do not expect any charges. They have classified the event as a hunting accident.
No word on the child’s current condition, only that the injuries were non-life…

I know we’re supposed to feel bad because a child was involved. Parent who get their kids interested in hunting should be charged with child abuse. In Europe they’re talking about making a child vegan constitutes abuse. But running around in the woods with a gun is father/son bonding. Why do guys have to kill something to bond?
If it’s a crime to have a child go vegan. it should be a crime to have a child.
For a lot of people having a child should be a crime!
