COLCHESTER, Vt. (WCAX) A 58-year-old Milton woman is recovering after a self-inflicted gunshot wound to her leg.

Colchester Police say the woman was hunting in Munson Flats in Colchester when she shot herself from an accidental discharge of a muzzleloader.

UVM Medical Center officials told police she showed up at the hospital around 2:30 p.m.

Fish and Wildlife officials are still investigating.
