  1. this goddam profiteer scan use fake fur.no need to use real derad animals. we should all picket theri goddam stores. they are lousy people

  2. People need to start protesting outside or near these stores until they stop using coyote fur, or fur of any kind. I’ll bet there are people who are not truly aware about the fur on these coats, or the down. I just don’t understand how, knowing everything we know today, people still promote fur and people still buy it.

  3. I think some might not even give it a second thought. If something is trendy or popular, that’s all that matters sometimes for a ‘must have’ item. I hate marketing – how could anyone call coyote killing contests ‘ethically sourced’? Even ordinary trapping? Anything associated with animals raised for fur is down to the cheapest way to raise them possible, ethics don’t enter into it.

Or that palm oil is ‘sustainable’? It’s in freaking everything now.

  4. LOL I’m just smh – it used to be coyote fur wasn’t desirable, not that it isn’t beautiful. And sometimes fur trim is just plain trashy looking. What the hell is going on now? I try to be polite, I truly do – but the truth is some people are stupid, and don’t know or understand, or care. Mindlessly following a trend. It’s only for trim, so there’s not really a lot of warmth I think. I wish fur trappers and their pimps would stop pushing fur when there are so many modern alternatives.

It makes one wish for the days of throwing red paint on fur coats!

  5. Fur was and is falling out of favor, but there is always a company that rears its ugly IPO head and the mindless will follow, and Canada Goose is the latest one of them. But there’s a lot of protest, and it is heartening.

How can they flat out lie about ethically sourced fur? Trapped, bludgeoned, electrocuted, drowned, stepped on to suffocate – these trappers are really disturbing killers just to make a couple of hundred bucks a pelt.
