In Iran, authorities say they’ve arrested 17 Iranian citizens and charged them with being CIA-trained spies for the United States. Iranian media reports that some have already been executed. This comes as tensions in the Persian Gulf continued to mount over the weekend following Iran’s seizure of a British oil tanker and its 23 crew members Friday in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran said it seized the tanker in retaliation for the British impounding of an Iranian tanker earlier this month off the coast of Gibraltar. The Iranian National Guard released video Sunday showing the vessel flying an Iranian flag. Britain says Iran forced the Stena Impero out of international waters and rerouted the tanker into Iranian territory. Exposing the Big Game 
The U.S. has been trying to goad Iran into a direct conflict–just as it did with Afghanistan and Iraq, where the U.S. hegemony continues. The Drum Beats of War are increasing–if Iranian ships or planes were in the Gulf of Mexico, can you imagine what we’d do?? The U.S. government, GOP, and, including most Dems. think it’s ok to bully other countries, place CIA agents in South and Central America, and bomb helpless, poor countries like Yemen and Syria. Iran will be another matter. The U.S. may well be itching to use nuclear weapons (some new ones they need to test perhaps?) The U.S. has more Nukes than any other country at this time. The U.S. is Not a Peace-Oriented Country, although it certainly uses “Peacekeeping” as its war-mongering slogan.
We supply coordinates and bombs to the Saudi’s to drop in Yemen; the Russians bombed Syria and the Donald talks like a bragging school boy who’d love to drop bombs but doesn’t want to kill 10M people in a week in Afghanistan. Now he’s partnering with the Pakistani PM for help in Afghanistan. They did that back 20 years ago before 9-11. Nothing has changed but just got recycled with many lives lost and treasure squandered — your taxes and mine.
