CLARK COUNTY, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — A Florida family is breathing a sigh of relief after Charles Egner was found safe over the weekend.
Egner went missing on Wednesday while hunting in southeastern Illinois.
The sheriff’s department says Egner is believed to have dementia.
CPO Barnes found Egner after another hunter, currently in Canada, was reviewing his cell game camera and believed he had seen the lost hunter on his game cam.
The cameras are located in Clark County, Illinois.
CPO Barnes went to investigate and that’s where he found the very confused and thirsty victim.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office says the only quote they heard to sum it all up is “Don’t give up, GET UP!”
“Scores of people” helped authorities search for the missing hunter.
