In this day and age we should be working to protect more lands for wildlife–NOT opening them up to hunting and fishing! Please vote NO on the proposed rule which would further degrade habitat for all species.

Interior Secretary David L. Bernhardt recently announced a proposal to open or expand hunting and fishing opportunities on 97 National Wildlife Refuges (NWR) across the country and 9 National Fish Hatcheries. This will include 8 NWR’s that will be opened to hunting or fishing for the first time. The increased access and opportunities for sportsmen spans 2.3 million acres and brings the number of refuges where the public may hunt up to 399 and up to 331 where fishing is permitted.   1. We should be protecting both wildlife and our refuges not opening them up to fishing and hunting for sport. Please vote NO on the proposed rule that would degrade habitats and endanger species.

  2. A wildlife refuge is a fefuge not a place to go kill those that reside there
    Not a popular idea anyway
    Let it be a place where nature can do its job!!!

  3. Refuge Definition: a condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or trouble, Please do not open or expand NWR. I”m a voter in Nevada and will write to the President whom I voted for in the last election. We need to stop encroaching on wildlife – as COVID 19 has shown us. Also, don’t forget, there are those of us who like to use recreational parks for the purpose of wildlife watching vs hunting, is a major percentage (and growing percentage) of the population. Thank you.
