Reutersreports that the measures are the latest taken in the Netherlands, a leading exporter of poultry and eggs, after the H5N8 disease was first found in wild fowl.
The latest cull comes shortly after animal health authorities ordered 200,000 chickens to be culled in the eastern town of Puiflijk earlier in November.
