MAPLE HILL, Pender County —Four hunters were kidnapped and robbed last week, and now investigators have identified the two men believed to have been involved.

On January 28, the Pender County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a robbery and kidnapping on Webbtown Road in Maple Hill.

  1. One of the charges: “Assault with a deadly weapon, inflicting serious injury.” Can the irony be any more glaring? ALL SIX men should be arrested if that charge was applied fairly.
