A Wisconsin-based trapper has trapped and killed five coyotes in three weeks aftera coyote attacked and killed a dogin Wauwatosa’s Fisher Woods neighborhood in December.

However, it’s not clear yet whether any of the trapped coyotes is the one that killed the 15-year-old Yorkie, according to a city spokesperson.

The city contracted with Recon Trapping to set traps and kill the coyote as part of itsCoyote Nuisance Management and Response Plan Policy,which says if a verified pet attack occurs, the city “will engage a contracted professional in an attempt to locate and remove the nuisance coyote(s).”
