MARQUETTE, Mi – A hunting dog is recovering after it was bitten by a wolf and carried into the woods in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
WLUC-TV reportsthe attack occurred near the Forestville Trailhead in Marquette on Tuesday. The training dog is OK and is expected to make a full recovery, its owner told WLUC. It was bitten on the hind leg.
The DNR told the TV station that a man was training his hunting dogs. One of the dogs was baying at a rabbit when a wolf approached and carried the dog farther into the woods.

Exposing the Big Game 
You know, no matter what these people try to pull from their bag of dirty lying tricks, it’s not going to happen.
They put their hunting dogs in harm’s way – and insist upon doing so. When animals such as wolves and bears defend themselves, that’s a surprise?
It isn’t logical, and if the people of Michigan cannot see this, and continue to pay hunters for their dogs, I don’t know what to say. It’s getting tiresome.
Hunter Nation arrogantly tried to weigh in with a pompous opinion on wildlife culling, and it was so laughable I didn’t even bother to post it, but if anyone is interested it’s out there to read. These are very dangerous and selfish people, IMO.
But they can be prepared for a battle royal that will go on indefinitely, as long as they try to harm Michigan’s wolves. There is no meeting in the middle, compromise or understanding with these people. No one is going to forget or be allowed to forget their killing spree and there are countless articles, scientific opinions, and video to rub their noses in.
Tiresome indeed!
