A teenager has been shot by his uncle while hunting in a small village in ruralVictoria.
The 14-year-old was hunting for deer with his uncle Matt Wright in Cheshunt when he was accidentally shot in the leg on Friday morning.

An air ambulance was dispatched, and the boy was taken to hospital with lower body injuries in a serious, but stable condition.
According to witnesses, the bullet went straight through the boy’s leg.
Wright carried the injured boy into the local General Store for help, where Thomas Moritz helped to stop the bleeding with bandages.
“He was very, very stressed out, he was in shock,” Moritz told 7NEWS.
