This article almost had me until the very last line. We don’t always have to justify decency by whether or not humans are treated well, as if to care about animal life takes something away from humans? We already have enough attention and care about humans ad nauseam.
We don’t need to be reminded about the ‘degree of importance’ of humans by either political side. It’s sad that both party extremes feel this way, and I hope this author and others are not only concerned about Noem’s bad behavior as simply a political tool.
