      • Of course that’s terrible, but we’re not talk about a single alligator, but hundreds or thousands of them. And I’m sure it’s gruesome for the alligator who is hooked and dragged to a boat to be killed.

      • Not a fan of Alligators, they seem to have gotten much more aggressive than in the past. When we’re afraid to step into a body of water, it’s time to do something. They will also
Come into your yard and eat your dog or cat.

      • We don’t have alligators out West, but we have bears and mountain lions, who will also prey on pets occasionally. As much as I don’t like having to fence or leash or keeping my cat inside at night, I’d never root for the sport hunting of wild species just to keep my pets safe.

      • I hate hunting , hunting wild animals is not a sport. I live in Florida, the alligator situation has become very dangerous here. A little five year old was eaten by an alligator in a wading lake at Disney World. Their population is out of hand. I’ve lived here all my life and this is the first time we have faced this problem. We have always had alligators but not in the numbers we are seeing. It’s not safe to swim in local waters. We don’t agree on the alligators but I do agree that hunting and killing wild animals is deplorable, the animals such as you mentioned are protected here, if they wander into public areas they are returned to the wild.
